Homepage » Overview

The Montecchia Golf Club, based on a project by Tom Macauley - President of the British Association of Golf Course Architects - lies in the shade of the 16th Century Montecchia Castle of Counts Emo Capodilista.

A modern 820,000 sqm green, with several water traps, and an 18-hole course for tournaments and another 9-hole course. An all-innovative water drainage system means that golfers can play even in adverse weather conditions.

The Golf of Montecchia is the only in Triveneto with 27 holes and it is not far from Abano&Montegrotto terme. It is located in the estate of Conti Emo Capodilista with its old castle and elegant villa (XVI century). The course that is stretched across a surface of 82 hectares has been realized from the design of the Irish designer Tom McCauley. The course is a modern and free design with many water obstacles. The Club House is very welcoming and comfortable.

The Course The course (27 holes par 72 with a development of 6318 meters) is completely flat, but very technical and it requires a good concentration from the golfer who has to pay particular attention to the water obstacles that make the play more difficult. Another particular of this ground is the innovative drainage system that makes it possible to play even when the weather is not good. This allows the passionate golfer to play all year round.
